Gypsy Caravan

Our gypsy caravan is situated in the same field as our tents. It is placed in a secluded spot but doesn’t exclude you from all that goes on (unless of course you prefer it that way). You will have a fabulous view of St Michaels Mount – when we had a tent here it was one of the most requested ones. A Bell tent is sited next to Rosie making it ideal for older children, this has a wood burning stove and bed. Rosie – a real beauty and named after our cat, is a bow top wagon and is classed as an ‘open lot’ which means she is sat on the chasis of a dray cart, this type was very popular from 1930. In the old days these wagons were very ornate with elaborate designs and interiors it was a way of showing the owners wealth and were their prized possessions. We however, are farmers and have no wealth therefore she is plain in comparison but is tastefully decorated and will not detract from your experience.

I would like to point out that Rosie is not suitable for tall people. The bell tent has two single mattresses and there is enough space for a travel cot but please be aware that the stove is in here too. There is a shed which has a gas camping stove and all the cooking utensils. There is also a separate toilet and hand basin. Outside you can cook on the bbq/firepit provided.

Booking: Should you wish to stay in Rosie - there is a minimum stay of 2 nights, the price is for a couple per night and any addition persons are charged at £10 pppn. n.b we do not accept dogs in Rosie.
